Reports from the police have confirmed that two Central-American born students are in jail after attacking a 14-year old girl at the Rockville High school in Maryland. According to the white house, such tragedies have continued to motivate president’s Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

Protesters gathered outside the school compound on Tuesday night as they expressed their concerns over undocumented immigrants. Jose Montano, 17 and Henry Sanchez, 14 have been charged with the alleged assault that took place last week.

According to the victim, the incidence took place in a boy’s toilet last Thursday at the beginning of the school day. The U.S authorities said that the older suspect is in the U.S illegally.  However, they refused to disclose the immigration status of the younger boy because he is a juvenile.

Sean Spicer, who is the White House spokesman condemned this incidence last Tuesday. He referred to this occurrence as horrific, disturbing and shocking among other words that you can think or imagine. However, the school administration played down the immigration angle at a press conference.

Jack Smith who is the superintendent of the 159000 learners Montgomery County Public Learning Institutions System said that they would like to change the conversation. In his opinion, some people were diverting the whole story into a question and issue of immigration. He added that it is their responsibility to serve all students who enter through their doors.

According to him, the two suspects are enrolled in a special program for the English non-speakers. The Tuesday night demonstrators shouted “safety and not sanctuary” outside the school compound. The shouting was in reference to the sanctuary cities that are characterized with local authorities who turn a blind eye to residents who don’t have legal U.S residency.

James Humphries, the county police captain for Montgomery, said that he believed the alleged rape victim was a US citizen. A spokesman for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealed that Border agents had come across Henry Sanchez near the Mexico- U.S border in Texas last August.

They freed him and ordered him to appear before the immigration judge even though they did not set a court date. The Washington Press reveal that Henry Sanchez spend close to seventeen years of his life in his native land of Guatemala.

According to the court documents, Jose Montano resided in El Salvador for sixteen years. Maryland lawmakers of the Democratic Controlled Legislature passed a bill this week whose intention is to block the security officials from asking people about their immigration status. According to the Republican Governor Larry Hogan, this legislation would make it more hard for the government to co-operate with immigration investigation. The governor has vowed that he will veto the bill.

This rape case has continued to Spark the U.S immigration raw. Now that the cry has gone all the way to the white, all eyes are wide open to see the next step that the Trump administration will take.
